Todays Church of Ideas, will make you sing like a bird!

So today at St Johns The Baptist we have in our series of lunchtime talks,

March 19th Lunchtime Lecture- ‘Birds in the Garden

1-1:45pm

With Chris Andrews

Giving up a career in research chemistry, Chris decided to follow his true love, wildlife. He has worked in roles as diverse as counting birds from the top of a stepladder in a Scottish reedbed, to braving the elements to run boat trips to see puffins, to watching red kites on CCTV. He is now the Visitor Services Officer for the RSPB’s Frampton Marsh reserve in Lincolnshire.

Find out fascinating facts about our familiar feathered friends! Garden birds bring a slice of the countryside into our lives, but how much do we know about them? This illustrated talk (with sound effects) introduces some the more familiar birds in our gardens, and their less familiar stories.
Dr Chris Andrews has been the Visitor and Promotions Officer for the RSPB at Fineshade Woods since 2007.

There will also be refreshments from our wonderful volunteers, including fairtrade tea, coffee and homemade cake.
